Learn ways to reduce cross-cultural misunderstandings at work, while increasing your awareness of your own approach to communication.
The workshop will cover:
Day One
- Defining culture, cultural differences and their effect on our behaviour & interactions
- Culture as an iceberg – it’s what hidden that matters the most
- Understanding your own cultural background & its influence on you
- Challenging assumptions and stereotypes
- The differences that make a difference
- Values and the behaviours that demonstrate them
Day Two
- Communication styles, the influence of personality and culture
- Solving the non-verbal puzzle – body language; personal space; time
- Decision making & relationships at work
- Handling cross-cultural misunderstandings & resolving conflict
